Esther van de Lagemaat
Hello!
I am Esther, a lasso artist and aerialist from Denver, CO and I have the cowgirl experience to back it up. When I was 8, my parents put me on a pony, and I never looked back. I spent the next 10 years performing lasso, chariot racing, gymnastics on horseback, whip cracking and riding at liberty at rodeos and events across the United States. Since leaving the horse world and graduating college with degrees in Chemistry and Applied Mathematics, I have continued to develop the art of rope spinning outside of a rodeo context, pushing it into the circus world. Adding acrobatics and dance to traditional high level rope skills, I perform lasso in a style uniquely my own. I graduated this past may from the New England Center for Circus Arts, where I studied trick roping and aerial straps. I am currently on tour with the 2025 production of Cirque Us Stories and have recently performed in the professional show at Turbofest in Quebec, at the Slipper Room in NYC, in Quixotic Fusion’s Whiskey Dynamite, as well as other shows around the East coast and Colorado.
